Tumbled Stone Pendant in Feldspar with 925 silver plating from Brazil (chain not included). Feldspar (from the German feld, field and spat, a rock that does not contain ore) is the name of an important family of minerals, from the tectosilicate group , constituents of rocks that form about 60% of the Earth's crust. They crystallize in the triclinic or monoclinic systems. They crystallize from magma in both intrusive and extrusive rocks. Feldspars occur as compact minerals, as veins, in pegmatites and develop in many types of metamorphic rocks. They can also be found in some types of sedimentary rocks. A perfect understanding of the relationships between feldspars is only achieved with chemical and structural characterization, aspects that depend on the temperature and pressure of crystallization and the subsequent thermal and formational history. It can be high-temperature when it preserves the high-temperature generation structure and low-temperature when high-temperature structures undergo slow and total modification to low-temperature forms, or when it crystallizes in a low-temperature environment (plutonic crystallization). Feldspars can also occur in structural states corresponding to intermediate temperatures. Feldspars represent the most abundant group of minerals that make up igneous rocks. They can occur in rocks that have undergone thermal or regional metamorphism and are also important constituents of many sediments and sedimentary rocks. They are a chemical combination of aluminum silicates with potassium, sodium, calcium and, rarely, barium. Due to its great chemical complexity and extraordinary presence in the Earth's crust, it serves as the basis for the classification of igneous rocks.Chakra: First RootEnergy: Love and friendshipSign: Aquarius
